COMMEMORATION OF ALL THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED (ALL SOULS DAY). NOVEMBER 2

Remembering our relatives and friends who are no more, the people who have left deep good traces in us with their lives, their actions, and their benefits, is the most widespread and most natural thing in the world. Funerary and commemorative monuments, today photographs exhibited in plain sight in the house, amply testify to this. But for Christians, the memory of the dead is accompanied by the intercessory prayer for them and for all the dead whose faith God alone knows.

Do not fail to pray for our fallen heroes today; they need our prayers.

Help, Lord, the souls which Thou hast made,
The souls to Thee so dear,
In prison for the debt unpaid,
Of sins committed here.

Good Jesus, help! Sweet Jesus, aid
The souls to Thee most dear,
In prison for the debt unpaid
Of sins committed here.

May the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace, amen.
